World Cup Levi opens its doors to FIS Alpine Ski World Cup Women’s Slalom  21.11.-22.11.

World Cup Levi has passed the “Snow Control” -routine check-up, this is where the International Ski Federation, FIS, checks that there is an adequate amount of snow on the slopes to hold the competition.

Thanks to our Snow Farming, the competition slope will be in top condition this year ready to receive its skiers.

-The weather has been slightly on the warm side lately, but luckily it will not pose any problems to the competition. Special thanks to Levi Resort for enabling snow farming and, of course, for the professional upkeeping as well, says the Chief of Race Petri Tuomikoski.

-This year we haven’t been able to welcome the competing teams to practice beforehand. The warm weather has pushed the lumetus for later and the current conditions in Levi does not provide the perfect opportunity for practice. This year the competitors will be arriving in Levi only a few days before the actual race, says Tuomikoski.
