Christmas celebrations are expected to be covered with snow everywhere in Finnish Lapland. The weather conditions are cold and the temperature is about -25°c during the Christmas time. Acording to the weather forecasts, temperature during the Christmas week is going to be in between 25-30°c more or less in Lapland and arctic destinations.

Cold Christmas weather in Lapland
The coldest temperature so far recorded -34.2°c on Tuesday (13.12) in Kevo, Utsjoki. One day ago on Monday the the coldest temperature was 33.5°c in Savukoski, Lapland. It was mostly -30°c in most part of Lapland during the beginning of this week. Today (13.12) was snowy everywhere in Lapland. The depth of the snow is already about 30 cm in most of the northern destinations. At the moment the snow situation is also high in the southern part of Finland. According to the forecasts more snow to arrive in Lapland during the next week before Christmas.
