Deep dive into the Arctic – Explore Rovaniemi with the Culture Pass

If you’re visiting Lapland and want to learn about the culture, history, nature and ways of living, getting your hands on Rovaniemi Culture Pass is highly recommended. The 7-day pass gives you a multi-entry access to three premier cultural attractions; Arktikum Science Center and Museum, Korundi House of Culture, and Science Center Pilke. Arktikum Science Center and Museum

Arktikum Science Center and Museum introduces life in the north in unimageable, interesting and fun ways. Here In the Arktikum you can learn everything about the Arctic issues, and the history and culture of Lapland. Even the building itself is a must-see attraction in Rovaniemi, so why not go inside and learn everything about the northern lights and polar bears, for example. There’s also a café and souvenir shop, so you can easily spend a day here – so cozy and informative.

Science Center Pilke

Science Center Pilke is conveniently located right next to Arktikum. Pilke gives you an exclusive access to learn about the northern forests and the ways they’re sustainably utilized. Here you can try what it’s like to operate a harvester, sing forest karaoke and be amazed by the innovative wooden design and creations. Truly a fun and interactive experience for the whole family!  You can even bring home some wooden souvenirs from Pilke Shop, which is located right next to the entrance.



 

Korundi House of Culture

Korundi House of Culture is a short walk away from Arktikum and Pilke (map below), which gives you a nice stroll through the city center at once. Moreover, after learning about the history of Rovaniemi, you will walk through it with newfound eyes. Korundi is the home of Rovaniemi Art Museum and Lapland Chamber Orchestra, so all art lovers and creators should certainly pay a visit. The Kitchen & Café offers multi-sense experiences, while the souvenir shop will help you to take those memories to go.

The Culture pass grands you an entrance to these three exhibitions for 7 days, starting from the first entrance. The latest entrance is 1 hour before the closing time, opening hours can be found from the websites above. The current prices for the pass are:

  • Adults 20€
  • Seniors, students, unemployed 15€
  • Children 7-10 years 10€ (under 7 years free of charge)
  • Family ticket (2 adults + 2 children 7-15 years + children under 7 years) 60€
