Enontekiö

Enontekiö is located on the Norwegian-Swedish border, and the two countries share a 450-kilometer common border. The municipality is Finland's third largest. It encompasses more than 60% of Finland's fells, as well as all summits over 1,000 meters. Saana and Halti in Kilpisjärvi are the most well-known of them. Enontekiö is a popular destination for nature tourists due to its wide, diverse wilderness areas.

Attractions

Enontokiö's attractions are clearly mostly in nature, however there are few museums and a handful of music festivals in the region as well! The bird tower in Yrjö Kokko provides breathtaking views of the Ounasjoki River. Terbmispahta, Meekonpahta, and Pihtsusköngas are enormous and magnificent waterfalls worth .
