The white nights in Lapland started from today. The sun will shine bright from now on in the nothernmost part of Finland. The sun does not set below the horizon in Lapland.
The days of 24 hours sunlight and nightless nights continues in the north and there is no sunset till next July.
Every year this time the polar days and season of midnight sun starts here in the north. This year still there are lots of snow in our Lapland. Summer months in Lapland are bright, sunny and full of energy due to the 24 hours of light or the midnight sun.
Next sunset in Nuorgam, the northernmost part of Lapland is on 29 July.
